The club fished the second of their summer league matches at Aldeburgh. In a light southerly wind conditions were good a and all anglers found fish. Stephen Andrews notched up his first win this year with a mixed bag of codling, whiting, bass, eel and
a pout for 164 fish points. In second spot was Kevin Thorpe with 3 codling and a small smoothhound for 100 fish points. Chris Leonard was the third placed man with a codling , whiting and a nice school bass of 38cm for 90 fish points.

Match Report – 5th May – Walton Pier
The first match of Braintree Sea Angling Club’s summer league was held on Walton pier. Fishing for the Alf Huit cup the anglers found that the fish were feeding intermittently throughout the evening with a variety of fish being caught. Kevin Thorpe on his first outing this year got off to a good start with his bag of 3 dogfish, 3 codling, 3 pout and 2 whiting giving him 309 points and the cup. Runner up was Barrie Senior with 1 dogfish, 2 pout, 4 codling and 3 whiting for 173 points. Robin Joy caught 1 pout, 2 codling and 3 whiting for 81 points to take third place.
