Match Report – 26th October – Aldeburgh Sluice

6 brave members fished the latest match at Aldeburgh Sluice from 4pm – 10pm.

A mixture of sun, cloud wind and rain with a blustery wind from the South West creating decent waves with nicely coloured water.

With 2 non BSAC anglers to right of sluice we all fished to the Thorpeness side.

Robin & Tim walked further towards Thorpeness, Steve and myself fished near sluice and Kevin and Chris in the middle

Fish came from the first cast although better in the middle and tailed off towards end when crabs returned, numerous under sized fish also landed.

Paul won the match with 279 points (26 fish) whiting, sole, eels, Robin 2nd with 219 points and Kevin 3rd with 159 points.

Match Report – 22nd September Aldeburgh Sluice

Chris, Robin and Chris fished the latest match at Aldeburgh.  Fishing 4 hours up and 2 down. Very foggy to start then cloudy/overcast, gentle breeze over shoulders making fishing easy.  A gentle sea lapping onto shore with a bit of colour in the water.  A few other anglers between the BSAC fishers and Thorpeness.  The early whiting soon tailed off with a quiet spell that lasted pretty much the remainder of the match.  A few undersized fish caught together with a long spined sea scorpion by Robin (unspecified).  Paul took the win and the league points with 8 fish for 62 points, Robin came second with 39 point and Chris with 20 points.
