Half a dozen members of Braintree Sea Angling Club ventured down to Walton beach for their latest Summer League match. Fishing a rising tide into the early hours of the morning the anglers found fish hard to come by with crabs devouring their baits before the fish could find them. Chris Leonard’s good form continued and his catch of one sole, one bass, one dab and a large eel gave him 96 fish points to win the match. Barrie Senior was the runner up with two sole, one flounder and a bass for 83 points. A sole and an eel gave Paul Drake 39 points and third place.
