Match Report – 8th December – Aldeburgh Sluice

The second leg of the Mick Allen shield was fished at Aldeburgh sluice.  This evening match was fished in clear conditions with a gentle offshore breeze to help casting.  With only a small tide the fish were slow to feed and only a few were caught on the flood.  However, the ebb saw a bit more activity and more fish hooked. Following on from his win in the first leg Paul Drake again took top spot with a codling 10 whiting and four dabs for 275 fish points to win the match and the Shield.  Second place went to Robin Joy with seven whiting and four dabs for 179 points and in third place with 166 fish points from his 10 whiting and three dabs was Chris Leonard.
