Match Report – Sizewell 16th Feb 2014

The weather gods smiled on Braintree Sea Angling club
members with a sunny day and an offshore wind for their latest match fished at
Sizewell.  With plenty of colour in the water the anglers were soon into
fish.  Throughout the day a steady trickle of pin whiting, some small
codling and the occasional flattie were landed on lug or lug and squid
baits.  At the end of an enjoyable day it was Barrie Senior who took top
spot with 14 whiting, 12 codling, 5 dabs, 1 flounder  and a rockling for
344 fish points.  Second place went to Robin Joy with a catch of 7
whiting, 9 codling, 1 flounder, 1 dab and a pout for 207 fish points. With 163
fish points from his catch of 15 whiting, 5 codling and a dab Alan
Porter.  Best fish of the day a 30cm dab was landed by Paul Drake.
