Match Report – Aldeburgh – 22nd November

Braintree Sea Angling Club’s latest match fishing for the Braintree and Witham Times Cup was transferred from Orford to Aldeburgh due to weather concerns.  Fishing was on and off throughout the match with the larger fish being caught after high tide when the current was at its strongest the best being a dogfish of 51 cm caught by Alan Porter.  At the end of the match there was a run of smaller fish.

Paul Drake had another win with his catch of 45 whiting, 3 pout and a dab for 587 fish points. This latest win extends Pauls lead by 19 match points from his nearest rival Robin Joy.  Robin took second place in the match with his total of 321 fish points from 24 whiting, I pout and a sole.

Third place went to Colin Crocker with 20 whiting for 254 fish points.
